Spring Preview: Gap, Banana Republic and Old Navy

by Ashley Joseph

Last week, we went trend-hunting at Gap, Banana Republic and Old Navy and we came home with plenty of spring style inspiration. From bold printed jeans to neon brights, polka dots to crisp whites, boho to Americana, it’s sure to be a colourful season.

Printed Jeans

Whether it’s paint-splatters, polka-dots or Aztec-inspired prints, throw caution to the wind and go bold. Switching over from solids sounding scary to you? Follow our tips on making this look work.

Bright Idea

This season, let your inner eighties child run free. Neon hues don’t seem to be going anywhere, judging by the rack full of fluo items at Gap. Neon not your thing? Primary colours are just as readily available at Banana Republic, and just as eye-catching.

White Party

Summer is the season to break out your whites, and Banana Republic has all the options your crisp and clean-loving heart could desire. We could have easily taken home the entire rack of white separates.

Americana

From nautical stripes to button-down denim, we detected an air of prepsterdom at Old Navy. No complaints here!

Polka-Dotted

Little, big, graphic, dainty – we saw polka-dots of all kinds at Gap. And especially loved the monochromatic, stark black and white variety.

Boho Babe

Perhaps the easiest trend to work come summer, boho-inspired maxi dresses and paisley prints are always welcome once the temperatures begin to rise. The thought of slipping into an easy floor-length frock has us yearning for the arrival of spring – and maybe heading to Old Navy, too.
