No one does fashion like Montreal’s best bloggers. They eat, sleep and breathe fashion, so it’s no surprise that their outfits always stand out. Over the last few weeks we caught a few of them out and about at various fashion events throughout the city.
First up is Lolitta Dandoy, one of Montreal’s most prolific sartorial scribes. Her blog, Fashion is Everywhere, covers style from celebrities to women on the street. We spotted her at an event for Reitmans, pairing patterened shorts with a clean cut blazer and a statement-making necklace, as well as her signature bindi.
Lolitta’s love of fashion extends her reach from blogger to virtual stylist on her new online store, MyWalk. In, inspired by her enviable walk-in closet. She’s scoured the world to fill her wardrobe with fabulous finds including dresses, shoes and more that you can now purchse with 2% of salces going to to Cedars CanSupport , an organization that provides help and support to cancer patients and their families. Here’ s Lolitta at the launch party for her blog and online shop. We’re coveting her elephant necklace. And her long, lean legs.
Another Montreal-based fashionista whose style always surprises and inspires is Carrie MacPherson of Les Zurbaines. Her thrift shop scores are practically legendary, like the red polka dot blouse she wears below, accentuated with a bright red bag and shoes.
The next time we found her she was modeling a vintage dress from MyWalk. In that went perfectly with her own 20′s inspired look. What happens when one fashionista models a dress from another fashionistas closet? Well, she went home with it, of course (note her tweet-ready iPhone at arm’s reach).
Elle M la Mode‘s Audrée Archambault recently shaved off her long locks for cancer, revealing a beautifully-shaped head and a subtle tattoo on the nape of her neck.
We found her modeling a Herve Leger inspired FCUK dress from MyWalk. In, showing that a shaved head can be beautiful and feminine, drawing more attention to her lovely face and curves.
Finally, we spotted Montreal In Style‘s Anik Lacasse-Richard showing the demure side of leopard print.
Bloggers were invited to style a mannequin with items from Reitman’s fall collection and Anik’s tomboy-inspired outfit was our favourite by far with bright blue jeans, a crisp shirt and blazer.
Urban Expressions will be searching out stylish women on the streets of Montreal, so make sure you always leave the house ready for anything. If you’re fabulous, we’ll find you.
