From fashion to food, film, theatre and art, this week is perfectly well-rounded in Montreal with some events that we have been waiting for all year long. The city’s first ever Poutine Week kicks off on Friday while Fashion Week hits up the runway at Arsenal. A new IMAX film, a stellar play at the Centaur and an exhibit at the MMFA close the week for some exciting cultural activities.
The fall winter 2013 collections are ready to hit the runway with designers including Martin Lim, Melissa Nepton, Rush Couture and more on the schedule. Once again, the shows will be open to the general public with exclusive access passes.

This play about Steven Truscott tells the tale of this 14 year old boy who was charged with the murder and rape of a 12 year old girl. After being found guilty he was sentenced to be hanged. This production recounts the story through the eyes of Sarah, a fellow classmate.

The museum’s newest exhibit features pre-Columbian treasures and masterpieces, 100 of which have never been seen outside of Peru. The exhibit includes paintings, sculptures, gold and silver ornaments, pottery, photography and more from around the world.

The creators of Montreal’s first ever burger week have upped the anti with Poutine Week. Thirty local restaurants will be featuring exclusive poutines forsale all week at $10 for a full size and $5 for a sample sale. At the end of the week, the public is invited to vote on their favourites online. Just a few of the participating restaurants include Blackstrap BBQ with their burnt ends poutine, Faberge’s breakfast poutine and Namos’ Greek Poutine on the Beach.
